One should be minimum 21 years old to rent a car.

We drive on the left side of the road.

No, we do not have any pick up and delivery charges for rental in any location in Mauritius.

Do I need to check the vehicle before leaving the location?
Yes, you have to check that the vehicle condition reflects the actual vehicle condition. If an apparent defect is not listed, please proceed to a joint examination with the our delivery employee, in order to update the rental agreement

In case a customer wants to extend rental period?
You need to contact the SNZ Car Rental Office or the agent minimum 1 day before returning date.
Are there any hidden fees or charges?
we are committed to transparency in our pricing. All applicable fees and charges will be clearly outlined in your rental agreement. There are no hidden fees.
What is the minimum and maximum rental duration?
There are no minimum or maximum rental period. All Rental duration depends on our customers specific requirements. Please contact our rental office for long-term rental inquiries.
What documents do I need for renting a car?
You will need a valid driver license, Id and proof of address. International renters  need a passport or Id and a  driver License permit.(not necessary international).
What type of driver license is accepted?
We accept valid driver licenses from your home country or an international drivers permit.
Can I take the car across borders?
In Mauritius we do not have any borders.

What kind of insurance is provided with the rental?
The rental includes basic liability insurance(Passenger+driver). In case of accidents, if the clients are at fault the client is responsible to pay for an excess of 550 Eur.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept credit cards, debit cards,bank transfers, and For cash payments we accept in Mauritian rupees, Euro, Usd.
What should I do if I notice any damage upon pickup?
Contact the driver or call our head office asap +23052556614.It is recommended to examine the vehicle with the driver at the same time of delivery and pickup.
Can another person drive the rental vehicle?
Yes, it is free but you must provide a driving licence for the 2nd driver.
Is a deposit required, and if so, how much is it?
No deposit required, but in case of an accident , an excess of 550Eur will be claimed if you are at fault.
Is there an option to extend the rental period?
You need to contact the Snz Car Rental office where you have picked up the rental or the Snz Car rental Agent before the return date time given. Inform them of your new date and time. Also be advised that any changes to agreements can result in a rate change.
Is there an option for one-way rentals?

What is the fuel policy for car hire?
Our cars are delivered with enough fuel to reach the nearest fuel station. Alternatively and upon request, we can provide a full tank service.and return the same.if not the client will have to pay the difference.
What if I have excess luggage?
We offer baggage transportation for our clients (i.e. 2 bagages per pax) for all our services proposed. However if you have additional luggage, we can arrange for additional transportation.But It is payable.
What if I forgot something in the car?
If you have some personal belongings in the vehicle, please report it at your earliest convenience with the Snz Car rental representative or at our Head Office. We will try our best to find and return the objects. However Snz Car Rental and its representatives cannot be held liable for any loss of or damage to your belongings.
Am I responsible for parking fines and traffic violations?
Please drive safely and observe all road signs that are of international standard; customers are responsible for the payment of any parking and driving violations.
What is the maximum speed limit in Mauritius?
The speed limit varies from 40 km per hour from 110 km per hour depending on which road you are driving. Please be sure to adhere to the appropriate speed limits.
What is the alcohol limitation on the island?
You are not allowed to have more than 50mg of alcohol in the bloodstream. However a no drink and drive policy is advisable.
Where do I collect my car?
Our representative at the airport will be glad to deliver your vehicle. However we can deliver your vehicle where it is the most convenient to you.
Are child car seats available?
For a nominal fee, we can cater for child car seats.
